Workshops are a fantastic way to learn new skill sets, in a supportive environment. Workshop formats provide opportunities for shared learning, support, reflection and camaraderie. I offer a variety of workshops throughout the year. Though workshop topics and formats vary, all workshops contain an underlying thread of Shame Resilience education based on the work of Dr. Brené Brown.
Brené is the author of the #1 New York Times bestseller Daring Greatly: How the Courage to Be Vulnerable Transforms the Way We Live, Love, Parent, and Lead (2012), the New York Times bestseller The Gifts of Imperfection (2010), and I Thought It Was Just Me (2007). She has spent the past twelve years studying vulnerability, courage, worthiness, and shame.
Groups fill quickly, so book your spot early to reserve your seat. Be sure to contact me to be added to my wait list for upcoming workshop opportunities. Some scholarships are also available on a limited basis.
The Power of Vulnerability
Brené’s 2010 TEDx Houston talk “The Power of Vulnerability” is one of the top ten most viewed TED talks in the world, with over 11 million viewers. Additionally, Brené gave the closing talk at the 2012 TED conference, where she talked about shame, courage, and innovation.
“If we are brave enough, often enough…we will fall. When we make the choice to dare greatly, we sign up to get our asses kicked!” ~Brené Brown~
When you commit to showing up and being seen, you commit to falling. Rising strong is the process of getting back up. This amazing workshop is based on the research of Dr. Brene Brown. Learn to lean into your story and get curious. We will walk through our stories, ask tough questions, dig deep into grief, shame, blame and trust, and re-write the ending of our stories. Love and belonging are essential in our lives. When we have the courage to get curious, rumble with our doubts and fears and rise up, we become the authors of our own lives.

The Daring Way™ for Women
We are built for connection and relationships. We are built to belong and to create and to collaborate. To be loved and to belong is an irreducible need of every man, woman and child on the planet. So what gets in the way? Shame. Shame keeps us thinking small, self defeating thoughts. Shame tells us we are unworthy of love and belonging. Shame tells us we aren’t smart enough, rich enough, skinny enough or educated enough.
So what is the solution? Learning how to develop a healthy resilience to shame and to create a capacity for everyday, ordinary courage is the solution for shame. Self compassion, developing an empathy practice and leaning into vulnerability help diminish the effects of shame and allow you to maneuver your shame mine fields with more grace and skill.
Introducing….The Daring Way™ for Women. This course is based on the work of Dr. Brené Brown. The Daring Way™ is a highly experiential methodology that was developed to help men, women, and adolescents learn how to show up, be seen, and live braver lives. The primary focus is on developing shame resilience skills and developing a courage practice that transforms the way we live, love, parent, and lead.
