Eheadshot1aMy Story

My Journey to Life and Relationship Coaching began in my teens.  Our high school  had a program called “natural helpers”.  This was a program developed to offer training and support to those kids that others would seek out when in need, the “natural helpers”.   I was invited to join this program my sophomore year and loved it.

Fast forward a decade and add a husband and two kids. This was the time in my life that my parent’s marriage of 27 years came to an end.  This had a great affect on me. It was a tough lesson and a wake up call.  I learned that life is complicated, love is hard, and the word “family” means different things for different people.

Five years later my brother was killed in a car accident and the world as I knew it came crashing down.  When life offers you a one, two punch in the gut…you tend to re-evaluate it and find your deepest core values.  I learned that life is precious, love matters more than anything and relationships are why we are here.

My desire to help others grow, my commitment to building loving lasting relationships, and  my understanding of the precious nature of life and love compelled me to move forward.

In 2009 I joined the International Coach Academy.  Training at ICA was an amazing multicultural experience that allowed me to coach clients from around the world. This was such an educating and edifying experience.  Over the last few years my experience and training as a coach have expanded greatly.

I joined Brene’ Brown in Texas in October of 2012 for a new innovative training called “Connections”.  Since that time Brene’ has rebuilt her program and renamed it The Daring Way.™  I am a certified Daring Way™ Facilitator and I love sharing this deep transformational work with clients.  Shame effects all of us in some degree or another.  Like all soul, or life altering work….we can only begin to understand how to change something once we understand how it (shame) changes us.  Conducting Daring Way™ Workshops and helping people learn to courageously love themselves has been some of my most rewarding work.

I am a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coaching Federation (ICF). This organization is the most respected and acknowledged coach credentialing organization  in the world.  The organization is known for upholding the values and ethics of certified coaches and delineating those that are certified from those that just call themselves coaches.  I am also an ICF mentor coach.  Mentor coaches offer coaching to more inexperienced coaches to help them gain confidence or sharpen their coaching skills.

I am a Certified Couples Relationship Coach (CCRC) through Impact Coaching Academy.  Understanding that loving others and being loved are irreducible needs of every man, woman and child makes relationship coaching life altering work.  Helping couples add value and increase the health of their relationships brings me much joy and has become the forefront of my work.

I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 21 years and am the proud mom of two children.  I love summers at the lake cabin, walks in the sunshine, gardening, cooking and spending time with the people I love.

  • Life is a gift, you get one shot at it….take it seriously, but live it wildly and wholeheartedly.
  • You can’t have immense joy without opening yourself up to immense pain….it is worth it to be open.
  • Anyone can change, when given the right time, environment, tools and support.
  • Mistakes are just lessons in the school of life….make as many as you can in order to succeed.
  • Love is the most important emotion of all.  We all need it, seek it, fear it and desire it.  Without it we are nothing.
  • Relationships are the core of our existence.  How we relate with ourselves, our family and friends, our loved ones and partners and our community and environment make out our entire lives.  Relationships take deliberate work and are best saved with Pro-active action versus Re-active action.
